What is it?

FilterTrak™ is a relational database that gathers individual customer information regarding their filter cartridge replacement needs and automatically notifies the customer of needed filter changes with reorder information via mail, e-mail or fax. If the customer chooses, he can enter an authorization for automatic shipping of the replacement filter cartridges to the site, further minimizing the need to manage this maintenance. The goal is to remove the need for the customer to spend countless hours managing filter replacement needs or eliminating the emergency response to the failure of changing filters.

Unique Aspects of FilterTrak™

The main feature is FilterTrak's ability to manage individual user needs. Virtually every user will have a different combination of equipment with a variable pattern of usage. Since water all over the country is radically different, with season variables and market variables the program has ability to track these tied to a location. A good example is a fast food restaurant, with seasonal changes the amount of soft drinks that require ice varies dramatically. FilterTrak™ has the flexibility to track an alternate change schedule based on dates. The fast food restaurant would require more frequent filter changes in the summer months and the program automatically adjusts for this. FilterTrak™ has a function for future filter cartridge projections to aid in inventory control.

FilterTrak™ is designed specifically for managing a consumable filter cartridge replacement schedule and it is infinitely adjustable to as many different schedules for the different pieces of equipment as the user would have.

If the end-user has FilterXpress equipment the application will automatically load in the filters that are needed based on serial number tracking loaded in by FilterXpress personnel.

The filter sets shipped out will be labeled with a very large label describing contents and the directions for the filter change. Packing list will tell the user what equipment that the filters are for. A filter change return postcard will be inserted in the box that the user can send in to confirm that the filter change was made.

Why is it needed?

We all remember the adage; "Pay me now or pay me later!" in regards to changing our cars' oil filter. The number one issue with any kind of process filtration is the fact that virtually every user forgets to change the filter cartridge on even a minimum required basis. This results in equipment downtime, repair expense, poor product quality, customer dissatisfaction and lost profits. It is proven, time and time again, the value in process filtration and the protection it provides. However, so many times the filtration system is faulted for not working when, in fact, it is the lack of filter cartridge maintenance.

The typical end-user's personnel does not have the time to maintain filter systems and it is not uncommon for an organization to have many different types of filtration equipment with different replacement filter needs. Usually, the user doesn't even consider the filtration equipment until the equipment breaks down, the filters clog or customers complain about poor quality. The problem is further facilitated since many end-users have turnover in either the management or the facility people that are responsible for filter changing.

National accounts use the objection of not buying filter systems that they know will protect their equipment because they have determined that it is a wasted investment since the operators/users will, in most cases, never change the filters. This basically renders the filter system useless.

FilterTrak™'s power is in the automation of this process and its ability to minimize end-user hassle when it comes to managing their filter needs.

Filters sent out on the FilterTrak program will be in a box with a very large sticker indicating that filters are enclosed, "Time Sensitive Material" ,Please Change the Enclosed Filter Elements As Soon As Possible! This will be printed in both English and Spanish. A reply card will be enclosed in each box that the end-user will mail back to confirm that the filters were indeed changed.

Filter Changing Instructions will be included with the replacement filters complete with step-by-step instructions for the filter cartridge replacement.

A "Filters Changed" Sticker with a place to write; date changed, next change due and who changed the filters, will be supplied with the filters that may be affixed to the filter housings or bracket. This communicates to the appropriate field personnel that the last filters have been changed, with the next due date and by whom.
